Clinical Study on the Efficacy of Gyejibongnyeong-hwan in the Treatment of Menorrhalgia

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : The purpose of this study is to identify the clinical effects of Gyejibongnyeong-hwan in the treatment of menorrhalgial patients.
Methods : We studied with fifty-seven patients visit Kyung Hee Unversity Oriental Medical Center from April, 2002 to September, 2002. Women with organic disease as ut. myoma, ov. cyst and pelvic inflammatory disease were excluded from this study. We treated them with Gyejibongnyeong-hwan for 8 weeks. The severity of menorrhalgia were measured by MVRS (Multidimensional Verbal Rating scale), VRS (Verbal Rating scale) and VAS (Visual Analog Scale).
Results :Gyejibongnyeong-hwan significantly decreased the severity of menorrhalgia. Gyejibongnyeong-hwaVerbal Rating scale, Visual Analog Scalen did not show hepatic and renal virulence.
Conclusion :This study shows that Gyejibongnyeong-hwan has remarkable effects on menorrhalgial patients. Obviously further researches concerning all these area still necessary.
